Friday night Hurricane Hank visited Hammerdown Speedway in Red Springs for the first on Friday. The whole team was a bit nervous. None of us had ever been there before. Things didn’t go very well in the beginning as well. The carb was hanging up and we got very little practice. We thought about loading up and going home, but decided to stay and see where we qualified. We are happy we did, Hank qualified 3rd for the feature race and proceeded to move to the front and take the lead. Willie Milliken and Ricky Boahn were definite factors and gave Hank a run for the money. Hank was able to hang on for our first feature win of the year.

Saturday night Hurricane Hank was at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. We got a good draw for our heat race and had a good battle with Willie Milliken for the top spot. Since we won the first heat race, we started the feature on the pole. Hank worked the car over the ruts and holes to go on and win the feature at Fayetteville.

We feel very fortunate to start the season with two wins especially against a quality field of cars at both tracks. Special Thanks goes out to Mitchell Williams of Williams Plantworks for the excellent food and feeding our hungry crowd!
