What a Night!
11 May 2010
The team was excited to try our luck at Fayetteville Motor Speedway this weekend. We made a bunch of changes in the care hoping to have a good night. We all became anxious as qualifying approached.
As usual, Hurricane Hank and the team went through our pre qualifying ritual of double checking everything and checking tire pressures. As Hank rolls out on the track, we all held our breath. It didn’t take long to find out that Hurricane Hank put up a pole winning time!
Excited about our pole position, we discussed the changing track conditions and made our adjustments and waited for the feature. The track became very dry and dusty so we weren’t sure if the team had made the right decisions. We stuck to our guns and stuck by our changes.
Hank rolled out on the track for the 20 lap feature and as the green flag flew, he was able to pull into the lead and led every lap for our first feature win at Fayetteville this year. We were all excited to see how well the car performed as it seemed to be on a rail this night. Hurricane Hank was all smiles as he climbed out of the Williams Plantworks/P&M Performance Open Wheel.
We’d like to Thank P&M Performance Racing Engines, Williams Plantworks and SSR Racing for helping us make this possible.
